Specialties

There are lots of piano, voice, guitar, and singing teachers, but not many who put it all together and show you/your child how to create a song you’ll remember years later. Eleanor’s energetic, passionate attitude makes her lessons challenging yet fun. *Eleanor can teach groups or individuals, in person in LA or globally through remote platforms like Zoom, GoogleMeet, WhatsApp, and FaceTime.

Eleanor’s Songwriting Lessons for Children and Adults are designed to awaken one’s creative confidence and artistic voice. Students learn how to access their creativity and turn everyday experiences or imagination into original songs across pop and other genres, while accompanying themselves on guitar or piano (or singing while Eleanor accompanies). Lessons include studying favorite songs and how they work, to creative prompts like taking a film scene or painting and turning it into a song idea, to honing performance skills, and more. Students are even encouraged to participate in seasonal in-person and online recitals if desired.

Mission

Eleanor’s mission is to help students use songwriting as a tool for self-expression, creative confidence, and artistic growth. She believes that learning to write songs gives students a safe, empowering way to explore ideas and emotions while developing musical skills and focus.

In addition to songwriting craft, her lessons emphasize performance readiness, confidence-building, and artistic development. Whether working with children, teens, or adults, Eleanor creates a supportive, structured environment where students are encouraged to trust their voice, grow creatively, and feel proud of their work.

Meet the Business Owner

LA native Eleanor Hammond is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, pianist, and experienced songwriting educator with nearly a decade of experience working with children and teens. She began writing songs at age 11 and grew up taking music and acting lessons that shaped both her artistic voice and teaching philosophy.

Eleanor holds a BA in Theater from UC Berkeley, where she wrote, produced, and performed two original full-length musicals, including Walls, a feminist musical developed with the support of a university grant. As a recording artist, she has independently released 15 singles, with her song “Best of Tonight” featured on ElectroWow’s Best Electro-Pop Songs of 2023, and she is a sync co-writer with Blue Buddha Entertainment for film, television, and commercial placements.

Alongside her work as an artist, Eleanor has taught and worked with children ages 0–15 for nearly ten years, including as a songwriting teacher at Camp Wildfolk, a performer at Kidspace Children’s Museum, and an educator at Brawerman East. She currently teaches children, teens, and adults both in person from her Miracle Mile studio and online worldwide. Her lessons are highly individualized, blending songwriting craft, creativity, and confidence-building in a supportive, structured environment.

Eleanor continues to perform throughout Los Angeles while completing her debut album, Queen of Big Emotions, and teaching students the power of songwriting.
